Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 strategic innovation roadmap with quantifiable KPIs
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate tech
- Facilitate cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and manage an internal innovation lab with $5M+ annual budget
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies through pilot programs and proof-of-concepts
- Mentor a team of 8+ innovation specialists and junior futurists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record leading $1M+ innovation initiatives from concept to scale
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Certified Futurist (CF) or similar designation preferred
- Exceptional storytelling skills for translating complex trends into actionable strategies
- Experience building innovation frameworks for Fortune 500 companies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5+ year strategic foresight projects
