We're seeking a visionary Lead Futurist to architect our 2026 innovation roadmap and pioneer breakthrough technologies that will redefine industries. This executive role combines strategic foresight with hands-on implementation, requiring you to anticipate global trends, translate insights into actionable strategies, and lead cross-functional teams in building the future today.
As a key member of our C-suite innovation council, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, Silicon Valley pioneers, and government agencies to shape next-generation solutions in quantum computing, sustainable tech, and human-AI symbiosis. You'll have $50M in annual innovation budget and direct access to our state-of-the-art R&D labs in San Francisco and Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 global innovation strategy roadmap
- Lead scenario planning for disruptive technologies (quantum, biotech, AGI)
- Direct $50M annual innovation portfolio across 12 R&D initiatives
- Present futures intelligence to C-suite and board quarterly
- Build and lead a 15-person futurist research team
- Forge strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and DARPA
- Translate foresight into product roadmaps for 3 business units
- Author annual 'State of the Future' industry report
Qualifications
- 15+ years in innovation strategy or futurism leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or equivalent
- Published work in Harvard Business Review or MIT Technology Review
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Shell's)
- Track record of implementing $10M+ innovation programs
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
- Deep understanding of UN SDGs and global megatrends
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
