Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead error mitigation strategies in multi-qubit systems using machine learning approaches
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Author white papers and peer-reviewed publications on quantum supremacy milestones
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into physical implementations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum computing frameworks (IBM Qiskit, Google Cirq, Microsoft Q#)
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum error correction
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
