Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing protocols on next-gen hardware
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-machine learning hybrid models
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams
- Participate in quantum security standardization committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Track record of securing research funding (> $1M total)
- US citizenship required for government contract work
