Responsibilities
- Develop and execute horizon-scanning frameworks to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts through 2030
- Lead cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives to translate foresight into strategic roadmaps
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces published in industry journals and global forums
- Manage a portfolio of 5-7 innovation initiatives with $2M+ annual budgets
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight certification program
- Present quarterly trend briefings to the Board of Directors and investor community
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in innovation strategy or trend analysis at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or services
- Expertise in scenario planning, systems thinking, and weak signal detection methodologies
- Published author in peer-reviewed futures journals or major industry publications
- Proficiency in AI-driven trend analysis tools and data visualization platforms
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience addressing executive audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful innovation initiatives launched in the past 5 years
