Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the local and wide-area network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Perform routine system backups, disaster recovery testing, and data integrity checks.
- Monitor system performance metrics and proactively resolve technical issues before they impact users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and streamline workflows.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
