Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain horizon-scanning frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, etc.)
- Produce annual futures intelligence reports with actionable strategic recommendations
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into R&D priorities and product roadmaps
- Build and manage a global network of academic, industry, and government futurists
- Design scenario-planning models for high-impact technological disruptions
- Present findings to executive stakeholders and investor forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology research
- Portfolio demonstrating published futures research or technology roadmaps
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and technology adoption curves
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, neurotech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy
