Our Austin campus offers unparalleled resources for experimentation and thought leadership, including access to quantum processors and neuro-interfaces. This position reports directly to our Chief Innovation Officer and will represent Nexus Horizon at Davos and global tech summits.
Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ AI strategic roadmaps aligning quantum computing advances with human augmentation technologies
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in prototyping next-gen neural interfaces and ethical AI frameworks
- Anticipate societal disruptions from AGI and propose proactive governance solutions
- Establish partnerships with top-tier research institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich)
- Author thought leadership papers on AI-human symbiosis for industry publications
- Advise executive board on emerging tech investments and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in AI, Quantum Computing, or Cognitive Science with 8+ years applied research experience
- Proven track record in translating theoretical AI concepts into commercial applications
- Deep expertise in neural networks, transformer architectures, and quantum machine learning
- Published work in Nature/Science AI journals or equivalent peer-reviewed publications
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong background in AI ethics and regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights)
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholder audiences
