Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical neural networks for 2026-era AI applications
- Collaborate with physicists to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Lead open-source quantum AI framework contributions (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Quantum Information or IEEE journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles
- Secure $1M+ in government research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum machine learning models
- Proficiency in Python with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Deep understanding of tensor networks and quantum error correction
- Strong background in AI/ML (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
