Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in experimental quantum system development
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum computing conferences
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 partners on national quantum security initiatives
- Drive the commercialization of quantum technologies through patent development and product roadmapping
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum error correction protocols
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF quantum programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical simulation frameworks
- Experience leading quantum hardware integration projects with superconducting or photonic systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding ($1M+ projects)
