Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and supervise PhD projects
- Translate theoretical concepts into patentable quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (QASM, Quil) and cloud quantum platforms
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills and numerical computing expertise
- Track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
- Passion for ethical AI and responsible quantum technology deployment
