Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research projects in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum control software and interfaces
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure government and private funding for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum physics
- Expertise in at least one high-level programming language (Python, C++) and low-level quantum assembly
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical applications
