Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence and fidelity
- Lead experimental trials on 1000+ qubit quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from a top-20 university
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy experiments and benchmarking
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum field theory
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
