Job Overview
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first line of defense for our internal clients, ensuring seamless technology operations. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts, and maintain a secure IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide top-tier technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Manage and maintain computer workstations, printers, and network peripherals.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure secure remote access for remote workers.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications (Windows, macOS, Office 365).
- Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software rollouts.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify system improvements and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation are preferred.
