Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end-users via phone and email.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Log and track all support tickets in the ticketing system (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Perform routine system checks, backups, and security updates on weekends.
- Collaborate with the on-site team to ensure seamless handover of critical issues.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new workstations and peripherals.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor when interacting with diverse clientele.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in technical support, IT help desk, or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic operating systems (Windows/Linux/macOS).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to lift and carry computer equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
